Moroccan Ambassador to Tehran Mohammad al-Vafa has rejected allegations that Iran’s policies endanger regional security and stability.

As a country with a rich culture and civilization and enjoying an important strategic position in the region and the world, Iran plays a growing role in regional developments, al-Vafa told IRNA, adding that Iran’s isolation would not be in anyone’s favor.
He stated that Iran plays a leading part in strengthening regional security and stability and stressed that none of its neighboring countries regard the Islamic Republic as a danger to their security and stability.
The Moroccan diplomat, whose country is a member of the Board of Governors of the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA), said that all of the agency’s member states, including Iran, have an inalienable right to produce and use nuclear energy for peaceful purposes.
Tehran and Rabat enjoy strong relations in various fields, he said, noting that the value of trade exchanges between the two sides has passed the $1-billion mark in recent years.
Al-Vafa called for further expansion of ties with Iran in all areas, with particular emphasis on media, tourism and commerce.
