TEHRAN -- The 1st International Conference of the Quran and Islamic Radio will be held in Tehran in October 2008.

Some of the issues to be discussed at the congress are religious and Quranic media activities and the way they convey messages, ways to effectively utilize new media technology for Islamic and Quranic subjects, new methods and forms of programming in Islamic and Quranic radio, and ways to fund these radio networks.
Methods to evaluate the influence of such programs and ways to attract larger audiences are some of the other issues that will be examined during the gathering
