TOYAKO, Japan (AFP) - EU foreign policy chief Javier Solana will make a new trip to Tehran to try to pin down where Iran stands in a nuclear standoff, French President Nicolas Sarkozy said Tuesday.

""The group of six nations plan to send Mr. Solana (to Iran) for in-depth discussions on the differences between their latest proposals and the ones that were already on the table,"" Sarkozy said.
