TEHRAN – MP Hamidreza Hajibabaii said on Friday that the parliament plans to hold discussions to examine the qualifications of three nominees for ministerial posts on Tuesday prior to the confirmation votes.

President Mahmud Ahmadinejad, in a letter to the Majlis last Tuesday, nominated Shamseddin Hosseini, Ali Kordan, and Hamid Behbahani for the posts of economy, interior, and transport minister.
“First the president will introduce the nominees for an hour and then two supporters and two opponents will make their comments about every candidate each in 15 minutes,” Hajibabaii told the Mehr News Agency.
“After hearing critical and supportive comments, every nominee has 30 minutes to speak; the president can also use this time.
