TEHRAN -- Tehran’s Persepolis thrashed Pas of Hamedan 3-1 in the Iranian Professional League (IPL) at Tehran’s empty Azadi Stadium.

Veria Ghaffari gave a lead to Pas in the 14th minute, but that was cancelled out by Alireza Nikbakht in the 36th minute.
Hanif Omranzadeh of Pas was shown a second yellow card in the 64th minute by referee Shahin Haj-Babaei.
Persepolis became the dominant team afterward and captain Karim Bagheri scored twice in the 74th and 90th minutes to seal the victory for the Tehran-based club.
