TEHRAN – The energy committee of the parliament on Tuesday reviewed the power cuts and a probable gas shortage in the winter, energy committee spokesman Ali Adyani-Rad told the Mehr News Agency.

“The attendants in the today’ meeting generally believed that drought is not the principal cause of power cuts,” he said, adding expert views prove this fact.
He extended his gratitude to Parliament Speaker Ali Larijani who participated in the meeting and hoped his attendance will be an impetus for hard work by parliamentary committees.
“Regarding peoples’ concerns over the problems of power and gas cuts, the speaker asked the representatives to investigate the issue closely,” he stated.
