TEHRAN -- Finland is participating in Iran’s second edition of the Cinéma Vérité Festival with seven documentaries.

The documentaries include “The Skiers” (John Webster), “Home Away From Home” (Marika Väisänen), “Magic Night” (Jouni Hiltunen), “Rapid Eye Music” (Tommi Seitajoki), and “The Pests” (Katja Lautamatti & Mina Laamo).
All the documentaries have been produced between the years 2006 to 2008.
In addition, a delegation of eleven Finnish cineastes is also coming to Tehran to take part in the festival at their own expense.
They include documentary filmmaker Inka Achté, editor Hanna Asunta, directors Mia Halme, Georg Grotenfelt, Jouni Hiltunen, and Marika Väisänen, as well as producer Sanna Kultanen.
Organized by the Documentary and Experimental Film Center (DEFC), the second edition of the Cinéma Vérité Festival will be held in Tehran’s Felestine and Qiam cinema halls from October 14 through 19.
