TEHRAN -- The Iranian president of the swimming federation Vahid Moradi is making effort to join the International Olympic Committee(IOC).

Mostafa Hashemi Taba, former head of the National Olympic Committee, was the last Iranian member who joined the IOC but the NOC has no chair there at the moment.
""We should not be deprived of our rights. I have started 18 months ago talking with Sheikh Ahmad Al-Fahad Al-Sabah, President of the Olympic Council of Asia, about joining IOC. Hopefully, we can regain our position in the IOC.
