10th rail transportation confab kicks off in Tehran

TEHRAN – The Tenth International Rail Transportation Conference kicked off here on Monday at the Razi Conference Center in Tehran.
According to IRIB, the two-day meeting is aimed at promoting scientific, technological, and engineering know-how in the country’s rails network, said Iranian Association of Rail Transport Engineering Secretary Abolfazl Bahredar.The acting minister and deputies of the road and transportation ministry, representatives of related fields from Europe and Central Asia, Iranian and foreign university professors, Majlis (parliament) Construction Committee members and some other high-ranking officials attended the event, he added.
Bahredar noted that more than 400 articles have been sent to the conference secretariat, whereas the figure of last year nearly reached 350.
