TEHRAN (IRNA) -- A member of Majlis National Security and Foreign Policy Committee Javad Jahangir-zadeh said on Tuesday that the Arab states should exercise vigilance and never be deceived by western countries on Iran's nuclear activities.

Speaking to IRNA, he said the West has invited the Arab countries to join talks on Iran's peaceful nuclear activities with an aim of exerting more pressure on the Islamic Republic.
The West has invited Arabs to attend talks in New York in order to win their support and spread Iranophobia among them, he said.
The western countries are willing to extend the scope of their confrontation with Iran to the region, he underlined.
The question is why the western countries which claim to be seeking an effective way to resolve Iran's nuclear dossier never pay attention to Non-Aligned Movement (NAM) and Italy, he questioned.
The West is now pursuing double-standard policies some of which are to be implemented by the Arab states, he said.
Arabs should understand that if they become a puppet in the hands of the West, people in Iran as well as in other Arab and Islamic countries will never forgive them, he said.
""We seek to live in peace and calm with Arabs and prevent occurrence of any thing which might endanger the security of the region,"" he said.
He also sharply criticized the silence of the Arab countries on the atrocious blockade of Gaza and said it is very amazing that in Iran's nuclear dossier they allow the West to mislead them.
