TEHRAN (IRNA) -- An earthquake measuring 4 on the Richter scale shook the suburbs of Kareez city in Khorasan Razavi province, northeastern Iran, Monday night.

The local seismological center affiliated to the Geophysics Institute of Tehran University registered the quake at 21:41 hours local time (18:11 GMT).
Its epicenter was in the area located 35.25 degrees north in latitude and 60.04 degrees east in longitude.
There are no reports of any casualty or damage to the property caused by the tremor.
Iran is often shaken by quakes of varying magnitudes as it sits on some of the world's most active seismic fault lines.
