“Letters to the President” sent to Berlin filmfest
TEHRAN -- The documentary by Petr Lom on Iran’s President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad will go on screen at the Berlin Film Festival.Entitled “Letters to the President,” the documentary by Czech filmmaker Petr Lom is one of 20 projects awarded financial and creative support from the Sundance Documentary Fund.
The film, which depicts people’s reaction to a visit by the president, will go on screen at the Forum Section of the festival to be held from February 5 to 15.
Iran to release computer game on 33-Day War
TEHRAN -- A computer game on the theme of the Israel’s 2006 33-Day War against Lebanon will be unveiled during a ceremony at the Resaneh Cultural Center on Wednesday.
The second version of the game will be unveiled on the third anniversary of Hezbollah’s victory in southern Lebanon and features the Islamic resistance’s perseverance during the 33-day war of 2006.
The first version of the computer game was unveiled during a ceremony on the occasion of the first anniversary of the war at the venue.
Fajr festival to honor Hatamikia
TEHRAN -- Renowned Iranian cineaste Ebrahim Hatamikia will be commemorated during the 27th Fajr International Film Festival, which will be held from January 30 to February 10.
The festival plans to commemorate five influential Iranian cineastes of post-Islamic Revolution: late actor Khosro Shakibaii, cinematographer Mahmud Kalari, director Rasul Sadr-Ameli and film producer Mohammadreza Sharafeddin..
