TEHRAN – Iran has exported nearly 8.6 million tons of petrochemical products valued at some $6.26 million in the 10-month period ended January 19, 2009.

With the approximate export of 1.78 million tons, liquefied petroleum gas was the major export-bound product in the mentioned period of time, according to a report released by Iran Petrochemical Commercial Company.
The National Iranian Petrochemical Company plans to raise its exports up to 13 million tons by the end of the current Iranian calendar year (March 20, 2009), the Mehr News Agency reported
