TEHRAN -- Former prime minister Mir-Hossein Mousavi has received a license to publish a newspaper named Kalame-ye Sabz (green word).

Naser Seraj of the press supervision board told Mehr News Agency on Monday that the board issued a license for the publication of the Kalame-ye Sabz newspaper with Mir-Hossein Mousavi as its managing director.
The newspaper will mainly focus on political issues.
The publication of the newspaper is seen as a campaign in the run-up to the June presidential election.
Mousavi had established the Jomhuri-ye Eslami newspaper (the Islamic Republic) which was the first newspaper after the Islamic Revolution in 1979.
Mir-Hossein Mousavi was prime minister from 1981 to 1989, when Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei was president. He was the last prime minister of Iran before the change in the Constitution which removed the post of prime minister.
