TEHRAN -- Foreign countries will be participating in the 12th International Students Theater Festival which will be held in Tehran from April 25 to May 2.

Artists from Britain, France, Austria, Germany, Poland and Kosovo will take part in the event, festival secretary Nasser Habibian told IRNA on Saturday.
The festival, sponsored by Iran’s Ministry of Science, Research and Technology, will be held in twelve sections at the University of Tehran, he added.
Out of the 1200 works submitted to the secretariat of the gala, half of them were selected for the Stage Theater Section, from which 24 were chosen for performance at the festival, he said.
Habibian called the festival an important artistic event which can help to encourage young students to improve their skills. He also said that it should receive more support by other organizations, he said.
