PARIS (Chinaview) -- French President Nicolas Sarkozy requested the French government to develop a plan for crime prevention and victim assistance in a speech at the Elysee Palace.

Sarkozy asked Prime Minister Francois Fillon to submit the plan in September. “The French elected me to establish state authority throughout the territory of the republic. We have no right to disappoint them,” he said. He also asked the Interior Minister Alliot-Marie to monitor relative statistics monthly.
“The priority now is the conquest of neighborhoods,” Sarkozy said. The security forces must focus on 25 districts ridden by crime, drug trafficking and arms, including 21 in Paris region and four in the province.
Regarding school violence, Sarkozy supports “mobile agents” which will be used to assist principals in case of difficulty of discipline in schools and colleges. “The personal direction and supervision” of schools should be allowed to open the bag. In addition, 184 institutions will be diagnosed with special security measures.
