Iran’s NPC president: Our youngsters are our asset

TEHRAN - President of the Iranian National Paralympic Committee (NPC) said on Tuesday that the country’s youngsters are a great asset that will shine in the 2012 London Paralympic Games.
Mahmoud Khosravi-Vafa said Iran is going to get better results in the upcoming Paralympic Games.Iran finished 22nd in the 2008 Beijing Paralympic Games, bagging five gold medals, 6 silvers and 3 bronzes.
“To be victorious in London we are going to invest in our youngsters. They took part in the 2009 IWAS Junior World Championships which was held in July in Switzerland. They had a good performance in that event and claimed eight silver and bronze medals,” the NPC president said.
“We will also participate with more than 50 athletes in the Tokyo 2009 Asian Youth Para Games in September. This competition is the first edition of the Asian Youth Para Games which will be supervised by the International Paralympic Committee and is very important,” he concluded
