TEHRAN – Iran exported $232.5 million worth of hand-woven carpets in the 7-month period ended October 22.

The figure shows 3.52 percent increase in comparison to the previous year’s figure of $224.6 million, IRNA news agency quoted head of Iran National Carpet Center, Morteza Faraji saying on Saturday.
Around $52.1 million worth of hand-woven carpets was exported in the Iranian month of Mehr (Sept. 22-Oct. 22) which shows 23.4 percent increase in comparison to the same month the year before
