Mercedes target top three

Mercedes GP have set their sights on a top-three finish in the 2010 Formula One Constructors' Championship.

The Brackley-based team won last year's Drivers' and Constructors' Championships under the banner of Brawn GP and many believe they will be contenders again following the signing of Michael Schumacher and Nico Rosberg.
However, with 2009 rivals Red Bull looking to build on their breakthrough season, not to mention Ferrari and McLaren hoping to re-assert themselves after both endured a difficult year, Mercedes GP chief executive Nick Fry says a top-three finish is a realistic target.
""I think for 2010 we have to aim for a top three place in the Constructors' Championship and of course we need to win races,"" Fry told GP Update.
