BUSHEHR –- By using Kosar dock the capacity of Bushehr Port will rise to 7 million tons from 5 million tons, said a Bushehr Province ports official.

The Mehr News Agency quoted Hamid Khalili as telling reporters Monday that the dock will be able to handle 5 thousand-ton ships with a 7.5 meters draft.
He added that the dock is 90 percent completed and will be ready in a few months.
Khalili further added that $18 million has been spent on the project so far.
He went on to say that $4.4 has been spent on dredging which is 35 percent completed.
Bushehr Port is currently able to berth 30 thousand-ton ships, he concluded
