Tehran, Kampala ink cooperation accords

KAMPALA – Iran and Uganda signed three cooperation documents and issued a joint political statement in Kampala on Sunday.

Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad and his Ugandan counterpart Yoweri Museveni attended the signing ceremonies, IRNA News Agency reported.
The first document is on cooperation in health and pharmaceuticals, the second on overseas aid programs while the third is a framework document, serving to oversee the implementation of other documents, Press TV reported.
The two sides agreed to establish a seven-man committee to follow-up the implementation of previously signed deals between Tehran and Kampala.
Iran and Uganda also released a joint statement, urging the use of resources in the two countries to increase mutual, regional and international cooperation
