Iran to end Xantia production

TEHRAN – Iranian carmaker Saipa has announced that it will not continue manufacturing Xantia sedans after September 22.

""Considering that the originally-French car is no longer produced, we are facing serious problems in procuring spare parts,"" Morteza Shafiei the deputy Saipa CEO stated, the Islamic Republic of Iran News Network reported.
""Some 50 percent of the Xantia parts are imported from France,"" he said, adding that the imports have been halted
