Former Chelsea captain Marcel Desailly is on a five-man shortlist to become Ghana's next coach.

Desailly, a 1998 World Cup-winner with France, is joined by Ghanaian Herbert Addo, Serb Goran Stevanovic, Humberto Coelho of Portugal and former Turkey assistant Can Vanli.
Desailly, 42, was born in Ghana, but has no coaching experience despite his success at playing level. Addo is head of the Ghanaian club side Black Stars, Stevanonic currently heads Serbian side Partizan Belgrade while Coelho is without a job having been sacked by Tunisia last November. Vanli, a German of Turkish descent, is manager at Maldivian side VB Sports Club.
More than 100 applications were received to fill the role vacated by another Serb, Milovan Rajevac, who rejected a contract extension after leading the team to the quarter-finals of this year's World Cup.
The five candidates are expected to be interviewed in the next two weeks with an appointment due in mid-December.
