TEHRAN -- Selected short stories by French-speaking authors have been translated into Persian by Asghar Nuri in a collection entitled “Sunday Morning”.

Translated by Asghar Nuri, the book is comprised of 12 stories he has selected from 50 short story collections.
“I try to select stories written by French-speaking authors who are still alive whose works have not been translated into Persian,” Nuri told the Persian service of ISNA.
He went on to say that all the stories of the collection are about a crisis that leads to a critical condition in society.
“Not all these French-speaking authors are from France. Some of them are from Switzerland and some are from countries in Africa,” he said.
Philippe Djian, Patrice Juiff, Ágota Kristóf and Salim Bachi are among the authors whose works are introduced for the first time to Iranian readers.
The book will be released by Afkar Publications.
