Iran summons Bahraini charge d’affaires

TEHRAN – The Iranian Foreign Ministry has summoned Bahraini charge d’affaires to protest Manama’s unfounded allegations against an Iranian diplomat.

According to a Bahraini news agency, Manama expelled Hujatullah Rahmani, the second secretary in Iran’s embassy in Bahrain, accusing him of having links to a Kuwaiti spy ring.
The Iranian Foreign Ministry official, in his meeting with the Bahraini diplomat, said Iran reserves the right to retaliate.
He said this move is aimed at distracting public attention from inhumane incidents taking place in Bahrain.
He condemned the way military forces deal with Bahraini protestors.
The presence of foreign forces in Bahrain has not helped resolve the crisis in this country but in fact, it has further complicated the situation, he noted
