TEHRAN, May 24 (MNA) – The Iranian Foreign Ministry has summoned Bahraini charge d’affaires to protest the imposition a heavy sentence by a Bahraini court-martial against an Iranian national living in Manama.

The ministry also voiced strong objection to the way the Iranian national has been arrested and tried, saying the Iranian embassy in Bahrain has not been informed about the arrest and trial of this person.
Iran also urged the Bahraini embassy to fulfill it diplomatic obligations stipulated by the international conventions and promptly provide the Iranian Foreign Ministry with a list of Iranian nationals who are in detention in Bahrain and let them meet with the Iranian consul in Manama.
