Supreme Leader of the Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei has granted clemency or eased the sentences of a number of convicts on the occasion of the birth anniversary of Imam Ali (PBUH), the first Imam of Shia Muslims.

Iran’s Judiciary Chief Ayatollah Sadeq Amoli Larijani had requested the Leader to pardon the convicts.
