TEHRAN – Iranian tar and setar virtuoso Keyvan Saket and four German guitarists from the Goethe Institute will give a fusion concert in Tehran’s Vahdat Hall on May 28 and 29.

The names of the German guitarists were not given in the report.

“I also found out that there are no financial aspirations behind their project and that they are eager to gain new experience and collaborate with a musician from the East,” Saket added.

“The first section will be a performance by me and the guitarists and in the second part the Keyvan Saket Orchestra (containing over 60 Iranian musicians) and the guitarists will perform the fusion concert,” he explained.

“We have begun rehearsing separately and we will continue our fusion program after the German guitarists arrive in Tehran,” he added.

Naser Rahimi, Homayun Rahimian, Karim Qorbani and Farshid Hefzifar are among the Iranian musicians who collaborate in the Keyvan Saket Orchestra.
