TEHRAN – Top principlist lawmaker Qolamali Haddad-Adel has said that it is very hard to predict the composition of Iran’s next Majlis (parliament).
In an interview with Iran newspaper published on Tuesday, the senior MP said, “It has always been difficult to predict the parliament makeup. It is more so about the 10th [upcoming] parliament since the current conditions are unprecedented.”Haddad-Adel had previously said that ground should be paved for candidates from the principlist camp to win the majority of the seats in the parliament polls which will be held simultaneously with the Assembly of Experts elections on February 26, 2016.
“Today we are facing a challenge in foreign policy which we cannot predict how will turn out in the end. This is surely to have effects on many issues. Things have happened which have obscured the future makeup of the parliament,” he said.
