TEHRAN — In a rare phenomenon a fourteen-year-old girl, Sara Soleimani, from Dehloran in Western province of Ilam sheds crystal tears four to five times a day which is accompanied with severe pain in the eyeballs.

According to the optometrists there is no scientific explanation for the problem, IRNA reported.
Sara said she was looking at a mirror when a ball collided with it and she got hit in the eye by broken glasses. She lost her sight for an hour after the incident. Three days later the crystal tears welled up.

“Every day the lower parts of my eyes get swelled up and 4 to 6 crystal pieces come out and sometimes my eyes bleed”, she said.

It’s been four month that Sara is suffering from this problem but nobody has been able to cure her, Sara’s father said.
