TEHRAN - The Iranian justice minister has said Tehran will use all it has in its power to pursue the case of the Iranians who lost their lives in the last week’s Hajj crush.

Mostafa Pourmohammadi said Monday that past records of casualties during the Hajj indicate that Saudi Arabia is not fit for handling the ritual.

The latest report by IRNA says 226 Iranians died, 27 were wounded, and 248 went missing following the tragedy.

In similar remarks Prosecutor General Ebrahim Raisi said Iran will use all capacities to redeem the rights of those Iranians who suffered from the incident.

Also, Elham Aminzadeh, vice president for legal affairs, said that the case is legally pursuable and the Iranian government will do whatever possible to settle the case according to related agreements that exist between Tehran and Riyadh.
