TEHRAN – Indonesia will receive crude oil supplies from Iran starting next year, Indonesian Energy and Mineral Resources Minister Sudirman Said stated.

From Iran, the government is also aiming to get natural gas supplies, Indonesian media quoted him as saying.

Sudirman did not say how much oil and gas supply Indonesia will purchase from Iran.

The government, he said, currently focuses on preparing the transaction scheme.

However, “Our banks cannot make direct transactions with Iran who is still under embargo,” he said
