TEHRAN - Iran’s interior minister has said the vetting of candidates for the upcoming parliamentary and Assembly of Experts elections starts with innocence by default, “unless the other way round is proven.”

Abdolreza Rahmani FAzli said his ministry will try to uphold the rights of all candidates, the YJC reported on Saturday.
He added, “The interference of military organizations as a political factor in elections is neither mentioned by the law nor expedient.”

He also said approbatory supervision is a basic in the Iranian law and no one can deny it.
