TEHRAN - The spokesman for the Guardian Council has said the written exam for those who have registered to run for the Assembly of Expert election will be held on January 5.

All of those who are not a graduate of seminaries and have not taken the previous exam should take the exam, Nejatollah Ebrahimian said, Mizan reported on Wednesday.

He said the exam is not necessary for the current members of the Assembly of Experts.

According to the official, the final list of Assembly of Experts candidates will be published on January 11.
