TEHRAN - Chairman of the elections headquarters of Tehran province has said so far 2,573 hopefuls from the province have been qualified to run for seats in the Majlis.

Shahaboddin Chavoshi said 33 others have withdrawn candidacy, IRNA reported on Tuesday.
He added that 128 of the hopefuls have been disqualified, counting for 5 percent of the total who have signed up.

He added the disqualified people have four days to plea against the results.
