Iranian referee Alireza Faghani and assistant referee Reza Sokhandan will officiate at the 2016 Asian Football Confederation (AFC) U-23 Championship.

Faghani recently officiated the final FIFA Club World Cup between Barcelona and River Plate.
He was assisted by his countryman Sokhandan in the tournament held in Japan.
The AFC U-23 Championship will be held in Doha, Qatar from January 12 to 30.
Iran is one of the teams in this tournament who has been drawn alongside the host Qatar, Syria and China.
The top three teams of the tournament will qualify for the 2016 Summer Olympics men's football tournament in Brazil as the AFC representatives.
