TEHRAN - The Iranian Navy is going to put up a war game in less than ten days, according to Navy Deputy Commander Rear Admiral Qolamreza Khadem Bigham.

Pointing to threats the Islamic Republic is facing, he said the exercises will be staged to the north of the Indian Ocean, Tasnim reported on Sunday.

Bigham made the statement in a ceremony welcoming back home the 37th fleet of the Iranian Navy.

Pointing to speculation that Djibouti is going to close Bab el-Mandeb, the commander said international regulations do not allow any country to close shipping ways even during wars.

He added Iran’s 38th fleet is taking off for the Gulf of Aden and Bab el-Mandeb in a few days.
