French theater experts hold workshops in Shiraz

TEHRAN – French theater experts Charlotte Huber and Mael Le Mee held workshops on creativity in cinema and video art and experimental cinema at Ghazal Hall yesterday in the southern Iranian city of Shiraz.
Huber holds a master’s degree in European project management and she offers the same courses at Paris Sorbonne University.

Le Mee, also a multidisciplinary scriptwriter, is particularly interested in technology relevant to simulation issues, body language and control aesthetics.


Photo exhibit spotlights UN-Iran relations

TEHRAN – A collection of photographs showcasing long-term collaboration between Iran and the United Nations is currently on display in an exhibition at the Majlis.

UN Resident Coordinator Gary Lewis, Majlis deputy speaker Mohammad-Hassan Abutorabifard and Majlis National Security and Foreign Policy Committee chairman Alaeddin Boroujerdi were in attendance at the opening ceremony yesterday.


Eight troupes to perform street theaters at Fajr festival

TEHRAN – Eight Iranian plays have been selected to compete in the street theater section of the 34th Fajr International Theater Festival, which will open in Tehran on January 22.

“To Be or Not to Be on the Battleground” from Rey, a group led by director Saeid Kheirollahi, and “Dolls Fall in Love” from Ava, a troupe led by director Samaneh Musavi are among the plays.

Directors Khodadad Khodam, Mohsen Ardeshir, Mojtaba Khalili, Amir-Hussein Shafiei, Sadeq Hosseinpur and Fatemeh Radmanesh will also stage plays in the section.
