TEHRAN – Iranian artist Nasser Palangi was shortlisted for the first prize in the 4th International Emerging Artist Award, the organizers have announced on their website.

He received the nomination for his oil painting “Trauma & Beauty”. The winners from the seven art categories will be awarded on April 6th in an event taking place during World Art Dubai.

The seven categories include Painting and Mixed Media, Illustration and Drawing, Sculpture, Indoor Installation including traditional and digital installation, Photography, Video Art and New Media, and Wearable Art.

The shortlist also includes Amira AlAwadhi and Eman AlHashemi from the U.A.E, Tian Mangzi from China, Ozlem Habibe from Turkey and Sulaiman Majali from the UK.
