Petroleum minister in Turkey for energy talks

TEHRAN (PIN) – Minister of Petroleum Seyyed Kazem Vaziri-Hamaneh left here for Ankara Friday morning to hold talks with Turkish Minister of Energy and Natural Resources Hilmi Guler on development of energy cooperation.
The Iranian minister was welcomed at the airport by Deputy Energy Minister Sami Damir Bilek and Iran’s Acting Ambassador to Ankara Gholamreza Baqeri Moqaddam. The first round of negotiations between Iran and Turkey energy experts was held in Ankara on Thursday. The negotiations continued on Friday on Iran’s gas transit to Europe through Turkey, joint investments on energy and optimization of energy consumption. Hojjatollah Ghanimifard, director of international affairs of the National Iranian Oil Company (NIOC), and Nosratollah Seifi, managing director of the National Iranian Gas Company (NIGC) are accompanying the Iranian petroleum minister
