BERLIN (AFP) -- British Prime Minister Gordon Brown will hold talks with German Chancellor Angela Merkel in Berlin on Monday on his first trip abroad as prime minister, Merkel's spokesman said on Friday.
"British Prime Minister Gordon Brown will be received by the chancellor with full military honors on Monday," Ulrich Wilhelm said. "The prime minister and the chancellor will discuss European as well as international affairs," he added. Brown succeeded Tony Blair as prime minister on June 27
