Iranian and Russian top oil officials discussed energy cooperation and involvement of Russian companies in Iranian oil and gas projects.

Iranian Oil Minister Rostam Qasemi met his Russian counterpart during the forum of gas exporters in Qatar on Tuesday.

The sides discussed energy cooperation and the involvement of Russian companies in Iranian oil and gas projects. Russia requests Iranian authorities to assist in helping Russian companies realize energy projects in Iran.

The ministers agreed on the need for a common policy in international energy organizations. Qasemi welcomed Russian companies in the Iranian energy system. Iran prioritizes joint energy projects with foreigners with emphasis laid on time needed for their realization.
