TEHRAN – The West is seeking to trigger a civil war in Syria, Iranian Ambassador to Lebanon told a conference on Syria in Beirut recently.

Ghazanfar Roknabadi said through provoking a civil war or a religious conflict in Syria, the Western countries intend to save the Zionist regime from disintegration.
