TEHRAN – An informed source in Damascus told IRNA on Tuesday that two Iranian warships, which have recently sailed through Egypt’s Suez Canal into the Mediterranean, are still on patrol in the sea and have not left the region.

The New York Times reported on Tuesday that the Iranian warships that docked in a Syrian port have left the Mediterranean, sailing south through the Suez Canal toward the Red Sea.
