Ex-Iran basketballer dies at age of 72

Former Iran basketball player Saeid Khalkhali died on Wednesday at the age of 72 in Tehran.

Khalkhali started his playing career at the age of 17 along with his older brother Mohsen Khalkhali.

He played in Iranian basketball clubs Nader, Pas, and Poolad.

Khalkhali was a member of Iran national team in the 60s and 70s and was well known for his skills.

The Tehran Times staff also offers its heartfelt condolences to his bereaved family.
