TEHRAN – Iran’s ambassador to Tajikistan has said the Imam Khomeini Relief Foundation stopped its activities in Tajikistan following an order by him.
Speaking to the Tajik news agency Azadegan on Saturday, Hojjatollah Faghani said he ordered the halt after Tajik officials objected to the foundation’s activity in their country.
He underlined that there has been no official plea with the Tajik judiciary against the foundation, and that there was no intervention from the Tajik government in bringing about the halt.
