Fredrik Backman’s “A Man Called Ove” translated into Persian

TEHRAN – “A Man Called Ove” by Swedish writer Fredrik Backman has recently been translated into Persian by Mohammad Abbasabadi.

The book tells the story of a bad-tempered man, Ove, who is called the bitter neighbor from hell by people. But when one day a chatty young couple with their daughters move in next door, the comical story of unexpected friendship begins.

A bestseller in Sweden in 2012, “A Man Called Ove” has been published in over 20 languages.

A screen adaptation of the book, starring prominent Swedish actor Rolf Lassgard, was released in 2015.

Tandis Publications in Tehran is scheduled to publish the book in the near future.
