TEHRAN – The Iranian Ministry of Foreign Affairs on Tuesday dismissed reports that Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif and his Russian counterpart Sergey Lavrov held telephone conversations just recently, saying the two ministers last talked over the telephone on Dec. 29.

It added, “Reports about a telephone call between the two officials which have emerged since early this morning (Tuesday morning) are untrue.”
