Volleyball is not a job for me, it is my life: Igor Kolakovic

Iran’s newly-appointed volleyball head coach Igor Kolakovic promised to make every effort to lead Iran to glory in the prestigious tournaments.

“This is my third time in Iran as I’ve been here with Serbia national team twice. Iran is a big power in volleyball and it’s a great honor for me being appointed as the head coach. As the head coach I’ll try my best to get the best possible results and win glories in prestigious tournaments,” said Kolakovic.
“Iran is a beautiful country with nice people who love volleyball. This is quite important for to work in country that people are engaged with volleyball because this is not a job for me but also my whole life,” the Serbian coach added.
“The culture and the food here is completely different from my home land. Iran is a big country with a lot of interesting and attractive thing which I would like to experience,” he added.
After several months of negotiations with numerous coaches, Igor Kolakovic finally penned a two-year contract with an option to extend for two additional years.
As a coach of Serbia he won two silver medals in World League and one bronze, one gold and one silver at the European championship but also two bronze medals. And also bronze in World Cup.
