TEHRAN – Majlis Speaker Ali Larijani said on Sunday that lawmakers have opposed the bills to divide up the Ministry of Industry, Mine and Trade, stressing that the parliament is opposed to changing the government structure and dividing the ministries in the current situation.

“The government needs to take on a different path to improve the structure of the ministries,” Larijani told an opening session of the Parliament, Mehr reported.

As part of a bid to rebuild the structure of the government, the Rouhani administration had plans to divide up the Ministry of Industry, Mine and Trade into the Ministry of Industry and Mine and the Ministry of Export and Commerce Development.
